Viral Garlic Parmesan Melting Cabbage
Servings: 6
Ingredients:
1 large head of cabbage, cut into slices
2 tbsp avocado oil
4 tbsp butter
½ onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
4 oz softened cream cheese
1 cup chicken bone broth
Chopped parsley
¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon juice
Optional - any additional seasonings
2 chicken breasts, pan-seared (added to your meal for extra protein)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Peel 1-2 layers of your cabbage, and wash.
Cut into slices. From a large cabbage, you should be able to get 6-8 slices.
In a large oven-safe pan, turn it to medium-high heat and add avocado oil.
Brown your cabbage on both sides, and remove from the pan.
Now, add your butter, onion, and garlic, and cook on medium until translucent and cooked through. Add your cream cheese and bone broth and whisk until combined.
Season with your favorite seasonings. I just did salt and pepper, some garlic, and onion powder.
Add your parmesan cheese and whisk until a sauce has formed.
Once this is done, add your cabbage back into your pan and throw it in the oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes until your cabbage is cooked through
Top with Parmesan cheese and parsley!
I love serving this with chicken breasts to make this a full meal!
