Low Carb Pasta Skillet
Servings: 6
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef 
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil 
- 1 small onion, diced 
- 2 garlic cloves, minced 
- ¼ red bell pepper, diced 
- ½ cup sliced crimini mushrooms 
- 1 (14 oz) jar no-sugar-added marinara sauce 
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat) 
- Salt and pepper, to taste 
- ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese 
- 2 cups fresh broccoli 
Directions:
- In a large sauce pan, add your avocado oil and ground beef. Cook ground beef until it’s about ¾ of the way done (about 5 mins) on medium high heat. 
- Add in your onion, garlic, bell peppers and saute with ground beef until translucent and fully cooked (about 3 more minutes). 
- Add your mushrooms and cook. 
- At this point, season your dish. I use salt, pepper, red pepper flakes. You can add more garlic and onion powder as well. 
- Add your marinara sauce and mix. Turn your heat to low and simmer and let your sauce thicken for a few minutes. 
- Add your fresh broccoli and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. 
- Top with parmesan cheese and enjoy!
