Supreme Meat Lovers Pizza Bake

Ingredients:

Meats:

  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled

  • 1/2 lb ground beef or ground pork, cooked and drained

  • 6 slices pepperoni, chopped (plus a few whole for topping)

  • Optional - grilled chicken breast

Veggies:

  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced

  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced

  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced

Sauce + Cheese:

  • 1 1/2 cups low-sugar pizza or marinara sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Optional Seasoning:

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)

  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cook meats:

    • In a skillet, cook sausage and ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in chopped pepperoni and bacon. Mix in pizza sauce and optional Italian seasoning.

  3. Assemble the bake:

    • In a greased 9x13" baking dish, layer:

      • Half of the meat sauce

      • Half of the sautéed veggies

      • Half of the cheese mix

      • Repeat layers

      • Top with extra pepperoni slices and a sprinkle of Parmesan.

  4. Bake uncovered for 25 - 30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  5. Broil for 2-3 minutes at the end if you want a golden cheese top.

  6. Cool for 5-10 minutes, garnish with fresh basil or parsley, then serve!
