Traditional Mexican Aguas Frescas

 
 

Cucumber Lime Agua Fresca

Servings: 3

Ingredients:

  • 1 large cucumber, peeled and chopped

  • 2 cups cold water

  • Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tbsp)

  • 6–8 fresh mint leaves

  • 1–2 tsp powdered monk fruit, stevia, or erythritol (to taste)

  • Pinch of sea salt (optional — enhances flavor!)

  • Ice cubes, for serving

  • Optional: splash of sparkling water for fizz

Directions:

  1. Blend cucumber, water, lime juice, mint leaves, sweetener, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

  2. Strain (optional) through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother drink.

  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime as needed.

  4. Serve over ice, and optionally top with sparkling water for a bubbly twist.

  5. Garnish with cucumber slices or mint sprigs.

Watermelon Mint Agua Fresca

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups watermelon (use in moderation for lower carbs)

  • 2 cups cold water

  • Juice of 1-2 limes (to taste)

  • 1–2 tsp monk fruit, erythritol, or stevia (to taste)

  • Pinch of salt (optional)

  • Ice, for serving

Directions:

  1. Blend watermelon, water, lime juice, mint leaves, and sweetener (optional) until smooth.

  2. Strain (optional) through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother drink.

  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime as needed.

  4. Serve over ice, and optionally top with sparkling water for a bubbly twist.

  5. Garnish with lime slices or mint sprigs.

Strawberry Lemonade Agua Fresca

Servings: 3

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup strawberries, whole

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 2 cups cold water

  • 1 lemonade electrolyte stickpack (or you can also do the lemon juice and 1–2 tsp monk fruit, erythritol, or stevia)

  • Ice, for serving

Directions:

  1. Blend all of the ingredients listed except the ice until smooth.

  2. Strain (optional) through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother drink.

  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or lemon as needed.

  4. Serve over ice, and optionally top with sparkling water for a bubbly twist.

  5. Garnish with lemon slices!
